Migration Act 1958
to provide for: independent review of asylum seekers currently in detention, with the aim of releasing all long-term detainees who do not pose a risk to the community or who are not likely to abscond; and the release of all children and their parents currently being held in immigration detention.

We acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of country throughout Australia and acknowledge their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to the people, the cultures and the elders past, present and emerging.
